Neurostimulation

Neurostimulation / High-Energy Induction Therapy
(SIS – Super Inductive System) Innovative pain relief – personalised, targeted and gentle

Using neurostimulation via the Super Inductive System (SIS), Dr Beate Helgers’ private practice offers a state-of-the-art therapy for targeted pain relief, muscle strengthening and functional improvement. Originally developed for use in neurology, we apply this technology specifically in orthopaedic pain management – to provide effective and long-lasting treatment for your symptoms.

How does neurostimulation work?

The SIS generates a high-intensity electromagnetic induction field that acts specifically on nerves, muscles and tissue. This involves:

  • nerve endings are stimulated to regulate pain transmission
  • Muscle contractions are triggered, which relieve tension or strengthen muscles
  • Neurotransmitters are released to promote natural pain relief

Depending on the frequency and intensity, the therapy can have both a relaxing and a stimulating effect – ideal for pain relief, muscle strengthening or to support healing.

Our unique approach

Personalised therapy for maximum treatment success
Whilst a standard session lasts 7–10 minutes, we use a personalised combination of several treatment phases with varying frequencies and intensities. As a result, the treatment time is often extended to 20–30 minutes in order to achieve the best possible results.

Dynamic intensity adjustment during treatment for optimal results

Targeted frequency control for maximum pain relief or muscle activation

Sessions of varying duration, tailored to the patient’s symptoms

When is neurostimulation used?

Neurostimulation is particularly suitable for the following conditions:

  • Acute and chronic pain (e.g. back pain, disc problems, nerve irritation)
  • Muscle tension and poor posture
  • Tendon irritation and functional problems
  • Delayed healing of bone fractures through stimulation of blood circulation
  • Neuropathic pain (e.g. following herniated discs)

Gentle pain management
without side effects

The treatment is non-invasive, painless and has no known side effects. Due to the intense muscle stimulation, mild muscle soreness may occasionally occur at the start.

To avoid this, we adjust the intensity to suit each individual and increase it gradually.

Are there any contraindications?

The treatment is a safe and gentle method, but should not be used in certain cases:

  • Pacemakers or implanted electronic devices
    (e.g. defibrillators)
  • Pregnancy
  • Open wounds or fresh surgical scars
    in the treatment area
