Orthopaedics in Ahaus

Dr Beate Helgers’ Private Practice

Regaining confidence in your own body

Back pain, a knee that keeps causing problems when under strain, a restricted shoulder, or symptoms that have been present for some time: at our private orthopaedic practice in Ahaus, our first aim is to understand the underlying cause of your symptoms.

To do this, we look beyond just the area where the pain is felt. Joints, muscles, fascia, posture and movement patterns all influence one another. Taking these interrelationships into account is a key part of our treatment approach.

Since 2020, Dr Beate Helgers has also been practising at her private practice in Ahaus.

What brings you here?

Orthopaedic problems can start in a variety of ways. Some occur suddenly, whilst others develop over a period of months. And sometimes the pain keeps coming back, even though various treatments have already been tried.

At our practice in Ahaus, we examine and treat, amongst other things:

  • Back pain and spinal problems
  • Knee, hip and shoulder problems
  • Osteoarthritis and joint degeneration
  • Muscle, tendon and fascia problems
  • Sports injuries and strain injuries
  • Functional disorders and restricted movement
  • Acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain

The decision as to which treatment is appropriate is not based solely on the diagnosis. It also depends on how much your daily life is affected, what stresses are involved and what you hope to achieve again.

Our treatment approach
for a new sense of well-being

Drawing on our many years of experience at Dr Beate Helgers’ private practice, our team of doctors, sports scientists and physiotherapists has developed a successful treatment approach based on three pillars. With this approach, we not only relieve pain but also stabilise and support our patients in the long term, helping them to develop a new sense of their bodies.

Pain management

Rapid relief and reduction of pain and inflammation

Through, for example, injections, manual therapy, shockwave therapy, laser therapy, dressings and medication

“We lay the foundations to make movement possible again.”

Function & Fascia

Resolution of functional disorders in the musculo-fascial system.

Using, for example, acupuncture, electrotherapy, neuromuscular electrical stimulation, trigger point therapies, manual therapy and fascial techniques.

“We treat not only the joint, but also the structures that move it.”

Activation and stabilisation

Strength building, coordination and posture through personalised training

Through, for example, 4D analysis, gait and posture analysis, MTT in a one-to-one setting, and personalised training programmes.

“Our aim: active stability rather than recurring problems.”
