Orthopaedics in Steinfurt
Dr Beate Helgers’ private practice
Regaining confidence in your own body
It is often only when pain restricts your movement that you realise just how much you took a resilient back, a stable knee or a freely moving shoulder for granted before.
At our private orthopaedic practice in Steinfurt, we take the time to identify the source of your symptoms and determine which treatment is truly best suited to your situation. In doing so, we look not only at individual joints, but also at muscles, fascia and movement patterns.
Since 2024, Dr Beate Helgers’ private practice has also been serving patients in Steinfurt.
When movement is no longer something we take for granted
Orthopaedic problems can manifest in many different ways. Back pain can occur suddenly or recur intermittently over a period of years. A knee may function normally in everyday life but only cause discomfort when taking part in sport. And sometimes, following an injury, you may be left with the feeling that you can no longer put your full weight on it.
At our orthopaedic practice in Steinfurt, we examine and treat conditions including:
- Back pain and spinal problems
- Knee, hip and shoulder problems
- Osteoarthritis and joint degeneration
- Muscle, tendon and fascia problems
- Sports injuries and overuse injuries
- Functional disorders and restricted movement
- Acute and chronic pain of the musculoskeletal system
We are not only interested in the diagnosis. What matters just as much is how your symptoms affect your everyday life and what range of movement you would like to regain.

Three pillars for a new sense of well-being
Our
orthopaedic treatment approach in Steinfurt
Drawing on the many years of experience gained at Dr Beate Helgers’ private practice, a treatment concept has been developed in collaboration with doctors, sports scientists and physiotherapists that combines three areas.
The idea behind it is simple: reducing pain is important – but often only the first step. That is why we view treatment as a process: from initial pain relief, through the improvement of function and mobility, to active stabilisation.

Understand first.
Then treat.
- Particularly in the case of long-standing symptoms, patients have often already tried a number of things.
- That is why it is important for us to know:
What investigations have already been carried out? Which treatments have helped – and which have not? When do the symptoms occur? What would you like to be able to do again in your daily life, at work or when playing sport? We take any
existing X-rays, MRI or CT scans and medical reports into account in our assessment.
Only then can we decide which treatment is appropriate. This may be a single intervention or – in the case of more complex symptoms – a combination of various components of our treatment programme.
